Virginia Ifejika Odukwe Foundation was born from a deep passion for teaching and a lifelong commitment to inspiring young minds. Founded in memory of late Mrs VIrginia Ifejika Odukwe, a dedicated Mathematics and Science teacher, our NGO carries forward the mission to positively impact the lives of young children.
Learn More About UsTo stimulate and nurture the interest of young primary school pupils from local government schools in the study of Mathematics and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Our mission is driven by the need to address the growing apathy and negative perceptions toward Mathematics and STEM-related subjects among young learners. By introducing these subjects in an engaging, supportive, and practical manner, we aim to build curiosity, confidence, and a strong foundational understanding that encourages lifelong learning and problem-solving skills.
This Foundation is a fulfilment of the passion and zeal of Late Mrs Virginia Ifejika Odukwe, a primary school Mathematics and science teacher in positively impacting the lives of young children. Building sustainable systems to motivate and encourage the study and healthy competition in the Mathematics and STEM subjects at this basic education level is key to improved educational opportunties for the children. The ultimate goal is to steer these young minds to critical problem solving, analytical thinking, value delivery and launch our African children towhere they contribute to sustainable development.
